Reflection: Sylvie is a story about a young flamingo who asks her mother why she is pink.  Her mother responds that flamingos are pink because they eat pink shrimp.  This gives Sylvie and ideas and she starts tasting everything around her, including a palm tree, chocolate, a piece of a bathing suit, a striped towel, and more.  The effect of this is that Sylvie turns many different colors.  The children have fun predicting what color Sylvie is going to change. Sylvie gets sick and decides to go back to eating shrimp, but ends with a sweet twist when she has a rainbow lollipop and turns rainbow.  The art in Sylvie is very vivid and bright making it eye-catching and easy to stare at.
