Reflection: Sheep in a Jeep is a great read-aloud and having the book available in board edition allows a very young listener to handle the book and point to the pictures without tearing the pages.  The sounds in the book like "Beep! Beep!" are contagious for little ones and they want to keep on beeping.  Being able to handle the book teaches the youngest child book-handling, how to hold a book upright, and how to turn pages correctly.  Children can easily understand the silly expressions on the sheep faces and the rhyming text allows the child to echo the reader. This particular book comes in a variety of board book sizes from the very small to regular size board book formats to the oversize board book which can be read at a baby storytime.  I would recommend this board book to anyone with a young child.
